This
obviously is the Very Hungry Caterpillar from the Eric Carle book. A
coworker of mine found a photo online that someone did and asked if I
could do one for her sister who is a teacher and a fan of the book. I
had already made one of these in 2012 for one of my mom's coworkers, so I
was familiar with the pattern. I was told she loved it...
Bags -- 3 projects... and not all what you would think...
Bags -- 3 projects... and not all what you would think...
Made
from left over fabric from the Great Pillowcase Crafting in December
2012. Nothing special about it. Just too much to toss and not enough to
do much else with. Gave it to a friend to go with some matching
pillowcases.
Nothing
difficult about this bag. I just painted on a canvas bag. But it was
for my baby girl cousin, Tillyanne. Her name is unique and she's never
going to find it on things with out having them personalized. And she
LOVES bags. This was for her 2nd birthday.
Clothespin
bag....pattern by me...but I didn't write it down. One of my aunts
asked if I could make her a clothespin bag for her clothesline. I just
made this up as I went. Done in the round, making a hole for the pins
(which you can't really see) and then narrowed at the top with a loop
and a "button" to go over the line. Made from cotton yarn I had hanging
around here.
Blankets -- 27 blankets. Not bad, considering I wasn't even trying to make so many. Lots of round ripples. A couple of commissions, some gifts, and several donations...
I don't really want to put explanations for all of these, but if you want to know about them, please feel free to ask in comments... Fact is, I would love to tell about them, but this post is going to be epically long as is...
Blocks -- 34 quilt blocks. Most of them were for the NAWWAL quilt top... and some of them, I can't share just yet...so here's what I can show you....

Although
I didn't finish this top until mid-January 2014, most of the blocks
except the Aragorn and Grey Havens block were done in 2013.
Two
Headed Monster block. Michelle T of www.misha29.com has been designing
Sesame Street characters for quilts and obliged my request for these
guys! I think they are SUPER cute!
Lovable,
furry Grover! One of my ALL time FAVORITE books is There's a Monster At
the End of This Book! So Grover had to be done for my Sesame Street
Quilt.
And I think this is the last block I think I can share with you lot for now from 2013. You may recognize this from Jennifer Ofenstein's
Paper Piecing Vintage block of the month she's doing from her site
(sewhooked.com) and Craftsy. Well, I am a pattern tester. So I get to
try them out a bit early...This is a 12 inch block.
Dolls -- 3 pillowcase dolls...
Each of these dolls were made from a pillowcase I made using the Hot Dog Pillowcase method from sewhooked.com (though I think in 2 of them, I didn't do the little flange piece). These dolls are a project I've been making for a couple of years. My mom won one in a raffle about 20 years ago. I always resented she didn't let me have it. However, I managed to decontruct it without taking it apart, and have made several since using both store bought and homemade pillowcases...
Hats -- 3 projects. Each...unique...

Hats -- 3 projects. Each...unique...
My
coworker, S, is a ham. She asked me if I would make her a hat with a
beard for when she runs in the mornings. I finally found a pattern that
worked and came up with this.
I'm
pretty sure this hat started as something else, but when I finished it,
it was far too small for an adult, so I gave this to a friend for her
little sister.
If
you think this hat looks a bit like a brain, you are right. Again, my
coworker, S, requested a goofy hat. It took me over a year to get a hold
of the magazine the pattern was in, and another few months to actually
get around to doing it, but she loved it.
Pillowcases -- 14 completed. You would think after the making all the pillowcases in December 2012, I would be run out...nope.

Recognize the fabric? These went into that bag I made above.
These were for my dear friend, Gwen, for her birthday last March. She loves my cats.
These 4 were for a friend who was moving into his first apartment. His favorite movie is Jurassic Park. Hence the dinosaurs...
We
went to visit my sister in October. She and her fiancee share a house
with a friend. The friend gave Mum and I her bed for the 3 nights we
stayed. I made her pillowcases. She likes pirates and music.
Frenchy
pillowcases were for a former coworker. She started in March last year
at my work, then left about 6 months later for a different job. She
loves just about anything French. So I found Frenchy fabric.
These last two were for my sister's boss when we went to visit. She LOVES anything purple.
Pillows -- 5 projects, 4 crochet, 1 paper-pieced

I made 4 of these in various colors. If you want to see the others, you can check them out on my Flickr.
Made
this for a Christmas present for a family member. Course, I didn't take
a pic of it once the pillow was IN it, but it still gets the point
across.
Hanging in there? We're almost done!
Maybe...
Scarf -- 1 project

Maybe...
Scarf -- 1 project
This
scarf STARTED as an Autumn Glory stash buster blanket. Unfortunately,
though I liked the pattern, I got bored easily and finished it off as a
scarf.
Trivets -- 2 projects
Trivets -- 2 projects
These
trivets both were sent off in a swap. I'm trying to remember who got
them, but my brain is failing at 2 in the morning. If it was you, I hope
you liked them!
Booties -- 1 pair...
Booties -- 1 pair...
These
booties actually go with one of the blankets above. I was commission to
make the blanket and the requestor asked for a pair of booties to go
with it.
Quilted potholders -- 34 finished potholders....It looks like there's a lot more than that, but really, it's because I took pics of the fronts AND backs....unless I made 2 the same, then I did one shot showing opposite sides. Again, won't explain all of these unless you really want to know.... in several cases, I just found two fabrics that kinda went together...
And last but not least...
Color Wheel -- over 120 squares crocheted for this. All made with Red Heart yarn. Used to help people decide colors for projects. Each square is on it's own split ring, then threaded by the closed ring onto the larger split rings.
I'd love to hear your thoughts!!! Unless you are going to yell at me for the length of this post...

Amazing, Amber! You are the craftiest person I know!
